Dear yogis.
I had the great pleasure of revisiting my photos from the motherland today. With distance, I can look at them and
see the beauty that was there and enjoy,
and see the challenges that were there and gain perspective. Travelling is good for the eyes.
I've finally got lots of them up and visible here:

YOGA CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

HATHA YOGA/ALL LEVELS
This is a good place to start if you haven't done yoga before. Alignment and breath are emphasized. Lots of instruction takes you through a sequence of standing and seated postures and then relaxation. Good for all levels of experience.

ACTIVE FLOW
A warming faster-paced sequence. Focus is on breath and movement. Traditional yoga postures strung together by sun salutations. These classes are generally good for people looking to do a bit of sweating or for people who have been practicing yoga, are comfortable with the postures, and would like a little bit more activity and movement in their practice.

GENTLE FLOW
Yoga postures practiced in a sequence where one smoothly flows into the other. This class may (or may not) incorporate sun salutations, but fewer than in an active flow practice.

RESTORATIVE/GENTLE YOGA
A gentle, grounding practice that relaxes, restores, and heals the body and the emotions. The pose does the work for the body. A good practice for those with injuries, very low level of activity, apprehension about beginning yoga, or for anyone who wants a calm and relaxing practice.

ACTIVE CORE
Developing a strong centre is emphasized. This is a solid, grounding, strong class. The ALL LEVELS CORE class is a gentler version of the same.

PRENATAL
A gentle practice designed to help physically and emotionally prepare for childbirth. Specific postures, breathing techniques and relaxation are used to strenthen and relax and these are known to be especially helpful for Moms-to-be.

If you are unsure about which class to try, please give us a call, and we will help you find just what you are looking for.
